In a beautiful secluded setting, in the heart of the city of Lincoln, the hotel has great views over the surrounding parkland to the city.
The hotel was originally built as a rectory. Today, its grand Victorian façade conceals comfortable accommodation with great views over the beautiful surroundings to the city. Despite its tranquil, idyllic setting, the hotel is just 7 minutes’ walk from Lincoln’s cathedral and the very centre of the city. All of the en suite rooms are bright and individually decorated and most of them have views over the parkland of Lincoln Arboretum. Each room is well equipped with all the comforts and facilities you need, including TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A generous full English breakfast is included in the price.
With a great location and comfortable accommodation available at good-value rates, the hotel is an excellent base, whatever your reason for visiting Lincoln.
The hotel offers a variety of services for the business guest and there is a meeting room with overhead projector. Alternatively, the hotel’s Conservatory Restaurant can accommodate business events. Complimentary wireless broadband is available throughout the hotel and a laptop is available for those without their own PC.

There is one double room on the ground floor. Most of the rooms have a view. Rooms at the rear of the house have a view over the hotel’s secluded gardens and the arboretum, to the city in the distance.
The hotel has 4 family rooms, each with one double bed and one single bed. The family rooms may be used as twins if required. 2 of these rooms can also accommodate an additional extra bed. Please contact the hotel directly to check the availability of extra beds. A baby bath, high chair and early teas are available for younger guests. Family rooms are suitable for 2 adults and one child. The rooms have a view over the hotel’s secluded gardens and the arboretum, to the city in the distance.
Be romantic! A 4-poster bed is every lady's dream, as well as most men's! This room has a large queen-size 4-poster solid pine bed that is 5 feet wide (1.5 metres). The bed has white drapes to the head of the bed and over the canopy. The room has a fantastic romantic view over the hotel’s secluded gardens and the arboretum, to the city in the distance. This tranquil, peaceful room is a great choice for that special weekend.
The hotel's en suite twin rooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floors. Some rooms have views over the garden and arboretum.
This special offer includes a 3-course evening meal on 1 night of your stay. Most rooms have views over the garden and arboretum The Cathedral Break is available for all room types (subject to availability). Please request your preference when booking.
The hotel’s Conservatory Restaurant offers a peaceful candlelit setting with views over the hotel’s gardens and the surrounding parkland. The restaurant uses locally sourced produce wherever possible and serves 3-course meals from an à la carte menu. The Conservatory Restaurant is a great location for a romantic meal for 2 or for a family get-together and guests can enjoy their food with the delightful views as an attractive backdrop. The restaurant is open from 19:15, with last orders for meals taken at 20:30.
The hotel also offers full bar facilities in the lounge, with a wide selection of drinks available, including bitter and lager on draught.
By Car (from the A46/Newark)
- Follow the signs for Lincoln North until you reach the roundabout with the A15 to your left.
- Turn right at the roundabout.
- Continue straight on at the next roundabout.
- Continue on to the T-junction where you have to stop and then turn right, the cathedral is now on your right.
- At the traffic lights, turn left into East Gate.
- Continue on down Langworth Gate to the T-junction, and then turn right into Wragby Road.
- At the traffic lights, go straight on.
- After approximately 200 metres, take the first and only road on the left. This is Upper Lindum Street. Do not miss this turning or you will be in a one-way system.
- Go to the bottom of the street and turn left. The hotel is 200 metres further on, on the right-hand side.
