With its old oak beams, open log fires and inviting lounge ideal for meeting friends or business colleagues. There is a positively Dickensian flavour about this beautiful old coaching inn. In fact, Charles Dickens was a visitor and did some of his writing here. Dorking is an ideal base for visiting local attractions such as Polesden Lacey, Denbies Vineyard, Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland and Epsom Racecourse. ***32 Superior rooms being refurbished in February 2005***
