In 1998 this Castel hotel was invited to join the French-based hotel consortium, Relais du Silence, comprising of 300 hotels throughout Europe renowned for their quietness and tranquillity. On arrival at this old Guernsey farmhouse, you will discover the old fashioned style of Guernsey hospitality and the informal, relaxed ambience - all the ingredients for a weekend away or a longer stay in the summer. Guernsey is well known for it's friendliness and hospitality, (as well as its tomatoes!) and you will find the young team at the Hougue exemplify this. Our hotel is under the watchful direction of its proprietor Linda Letten, the Hougue has become one of the best Country House Hotels in the Channel Islands. The international staff provide personal and efficient service, speaking German, French, Italian and Portuguese.
