Offering homely, comfortable rooms and varied cuisine, this totally non-smoking hotel is ideally situated, just yards from the seafront, shops, harbour and main stations.
Freda and Steve strive to offer you a home away from home. Chef proprietor Steve uses only the freshest of ingredients and takes great pride in his cooking, so you can be sure of an interesting menu with an international flavour. Vegetarians are most welcome and special diets are catered for. The hotel has a well-stocked, attractive bar where you can relax or enjoy an evening drink. The hotel regrets that it is unable to accommodate you between the end of September through to Easter.
Snacks are available at lunchtimes, and packed lunches can be arranged.

I bambini sono i benvenuti. Tutti i bambini di età inferiore a 1 anni soggiornano gratuitamente (pernottando nel letto già presente in camera). Tutti i bambini di età inferiore a 2 anni soggiornano gratuitamente (pernottando in culla). Tutti i bambini di età superiore o gli adulti pagano 17,00 GBP per persona a notte (pernottando nel letto supplementare). Il numero massimo consentito di letti supplementari/culle in camera è pari a 1.

Payment to be made on arrival. Credit card payments will incur a 2% surcharge.
Booking Conditions:
Bookings of less than 3 nights through July and August will not be accepted unless fitting between two other existing bookings.
One night bookings carry a surcharge.
Child Policy:
Children older than 15 years are considered adult for room occupancy.
Children aged between 2 and 10 (inclusive) can stay for half of the adult rate.
Children aged between 11 and 14 (inclusive) can stay for two thirds of the adult rate.

This is a family unit - double room and a connecting twin room sharing the en suite. Both rooms include their own TV. One night stays incur an additional supplement, payable locally.
A cheery room at the front of the hotel - look to the right out of the window, and you'll see the sea at the end of the road. This room has a double bed, single bed and bunk beds. One night stays incur an additional small charge.
One of the rooms has a 4 foot bed, so would be suitable for a child to share with an adult. One night stays incur an additional supplement.
Our meals are pre-ordered as Steve cooks everything freshly (no 'bought in' meals which come out of the freezer!)so it's easy to find a balanced and nutricious meal - additive free.
By car:
From the North or East
- Leave the M5 motorway/A38 following signs for Torquay.
- At the Kingskerwell roundabout the traffic slows considerably into a single lane.
- At the next roundabout (at the English Riviera- there's a palm tree emblem on the embankment on the left) turn right onto the ring road for Paignton.
- Turn left at the second roundabout to Preston (Preston is not on the green sign, but on a white one after the green one).
- Follow the road down to the traffic lights at the junction.
- Go straight over into Seaway Road. Follow that road under the railway bridge, bearing right.
- The sea is now on your left beyond a wide expanse of grass.
- Keep going until you see the Apollo Cinemas, and Kernou Road is on the right just before the pedestrian crossing between the Spinning Wheel and another hostelry.
- The hotel is the green building on the left.
Parking:
Parking is available at the hotel - please park as close as you can to the left hand side on the front of the hotel. The hotel advises you ignore the white lines, which it believes were marked to accommodate very small cars.
By train/coach (400 m):
- Leave either station and head towards Woolworths.
- Turn right towards the seafront.
- At the crossroads, turn left then and take the 1st right (ignoring the service road) into Kernou Road.
- You're still heading towards the seafront, and the hotel is on the right just around the corner.
